In this Encharge review, we’ll talk about where this email automation platform stands out among other AI email marketing tools, what could be better, and what is missing.
And at the end of this review, I’ll hopefully help you decide whether this tool is right for your business or not.
Let’s get started.
What is Encharge?
Encharge is the most recent model of email marketing automation software, and it has many useful functions such as autoresponder, CRM, segmentation, and so on. It will assist you in converting more leads, increasing revenue, and developing excellent customer relationships.
It’s finally gotten your company recognized, so you’d want to give each client particular attention, rather than the eternal family group messaging. However, you can’t keep sending out personal emails when the quantity of consumers outnumbers your fingers, so you’ll have to be inventive.
It is great for startups, email marketers, and website owners that wish to cultivate consumer connections through focused email marketing.
Encharge Dashboard
Inside the Encharge dashboard, you can see a summary of all your email metrics and your activity stream
Here you can also see data from your payment platform, order management software, appointment scheduling system, and other sources that you can combine to create actionable campaign segments.
Encharge Email Marketing Automation Features
Encharge provides some really advanced email marketing automation features and integrations with major CRM systems.
Email Flow Builder
The main Encharge feature is automation flows. With a powerful visual drag-and-drop flow builder, you can send targeted emails and create relevant real-time client experiences.
You can send an automatic email if someone does a particular action on your website. Encharge allows you to send emails to users at essential points in their journey, such as when they reach your price page, and their free trial is about to expire.
In the automation flows, you can add a flow, and there are a lot of templates, especially catered towards SaaS application owners.
There are a lot of triggers, actions, and filters you can use.
Before using any of these triggers, especially cross-platform triggers and all, you need to authenticate with the respective applications.
For example, if you’re doing something with MailChimp, you need to authenticate with MailChimp before incorporating MailChimp in your automation workflow.
If I start from blank, I have some blog readers as subscribers in Encharge, so I need to assign them points based on how many pages they visit on my site.
I can select the page visited trigger, and If any of the pages they visited contains my website I can drag and drop the lead score and increase it by 1.
So whenever a person in the CRM visits a page containing “businessolution.org”, I can increase their lead score by 1 and once I see their score, I will be able to tell how warmed up are they.
So that is a really good use case that you can make yourself.
There are a lot of other triggers as well like time triggers.
So at a specific time, you can have this triggered.
However, they don’t have periodic triggers so for example, in the case of weekly webinars, you can make use of periodic triggers for reminders.
But what’s great, all the email creation happens on a single page of the automation workflow. That’s really good and seamless.
In the case of MailerLite and all I used to switch between the tabs and like the page refreshes for me to dynamically create emails right inside of the automation builder. So, this is really good.
Email Segmentation
Here you can categorize subscribers depending on their activity. That is, form a group of people who have similar characteristics.
Knowing the audience’s temperature allows you to apply different marketing methods. The list will simplify creating an email newsletter to connect readily.
Encharge allows you to generate user groups based on real-time data from your website, product, marketing tools, and CRM.
However, when it comes to subscriber management, one thing that I really didn’t like about Encharge is they don’t have lists in place as you can see in other email marketing automation tools like GetResponse.
They do have tagging mechanism segmentation, and also sub accounts that you can potentially make use of as a substitute for lists.
Say, you can add a tag with the prefix-list to the denote list, but that may not be a neat way. They need to implement some list mechanism tool as a bridging gap between sub-accounts and tags.
I can select any of these subscribers, add tags, and you have a lot of inbuilt segments.
So, these are the conditions. If the last activity is more than 30 days, that subscriber may be quarter now so he or she needs more warm-up.
You have a lot of options for organization.
You can add segment and name your segment and say, email starts like time window was delivered in the last 30 days, then save this as a segment.
And if you want to prune your inactive subscribers that I strongly recommend you need to do it periodically.
What also you can do in the Encharge segmentation feature is if any email has not opened at least 5 times in the last 30 days.
You can segment that audience then periodically you can visit the inactive segment and archive all the people so that you fall under the quarter that’s been assigned to you from whatever plan that you chose.
The Encharge segmentation features are really good compared to other AI email marketing tools like Automizy that I recently tested.
Email Broadcast
Under the email broadcast, you can create a new broadcast and you can target any specific segment of the audience, you can select any of your already existing emails or create a new email.
You may create a beautiful and helpful newsletter that you can send to all of your subscribers. It is simple to follow up. A solid connection with the audience. Informative mailings might help customers learn more about your service. With the broadcast, might deliver special offers or discounts.
A/B Split Testing
A/B testing always helps you identify which option is better for your business. You can determine which marketing tactic is more engaging to your target demographic. A/B testing is essential for learning about your subscribers’ expectations.
I already have an existing email so I can create multiple variations of this email. I can add a variation and I can include the subject line and the from name in AB split testing and I can AB split test the whole email against each other.
The same you can do with Omnisend as you can see in this Omnisend review.
I really like the UI and UX of this tool. This is really very refined than that of ActiveCampaign so that’s a really good, unique selling proposition that they have.
Smart Emails
Smart emails that will more than quadruple your trial conversion. You can upgrade from untargeted email blasts to the most sophisticated SaaS user segmentation.
You can send personalized, real-time emails when customers do or do not do anything with your product. Create onboarding experiences that turn free users into paying clients. With simple native connections, you can bring in real-time user data from your product and your whole marketing stack. Developers are not required.
Encharge Integrations
Consider your marketing automation platform to communicate with all of the products you use in your everyday workflow. Integrate allows you to link Encharge to hundreds of apps and offer outstanding user experiences virtually everywhere.
Under settings are all of the applications that Encharge integrates with.
So, you can authenticate with any of these applications to make sure that you will be able to use these applications within your automation workflows.
And other than this, you just need to start the migration from your previous app to Encharge. You can handle all your custom fields for your people.
You have your site tracking, you can add this JavaScript to your site to enable sidetracking so that you can track what your people are visiting on your site and trigger automations based on that.
And once you have site tracking set up, it also tracks the form submissions on your site and adds them to your CRM.
In short, you can use Integrate to establish automatic processes and move data across your favorite apps and services without having to make any human effort.
Encharge Alternatives
Here are some of the Encharge alternatives:
- ActiveCampaign
- Drip
- GetResponse
- SendinBlue
A great and affordable marketing automation platform that could be a great Encharge alternative would be Crowdpower. It provides similar automation features and integrations as you can read in this Crowdpower review.
Encharge Pricing
In terms of pricing, they have really priced it well, competitive to ActiveCampaign or Drip.
There are two plans; growth and premium and the price depend on the number of subscribers you have.
- 0 – 2,000 – starting at $49/month
- 2,001 – 5,000 – starting at $99/month
- 5,001 – 10,000 – starting at $179/month
- 10,001 – 15,000 – starting at $249/month
- 15,001 – 20,000 – starting at $299/month
- 20,000 – 25,000 – starting at $349/month
- 25,000 – 30,000 – starting at $389/month
- 30,000 – 40,000 – starting at $449 /month
- 40,000 – 50,000 – starting at $499/month
- 50,000 – 70,000 – starting at $599/month
- 70,000 – 100,000 – starting at $799/month
- 100,000 – 150,000 – starting at $999/month
Pricing is not very affordable like that of MailerLite or Omnisend, but it is pretty reasonable considering the automation features that it offers.

Who Is Encharge For?
But still, this tool may not be for all of you. For example, if you’re into the e-commerce business, this tool lacks a lot of e-commerce functionalities as of now.
This tool is mainly geared towards SaaS founders, subscription businesses, and agencies especially with their sub-account functionalities.
There are many terms in their application that are geared towards SaaS owners like trial end date, trial, start date, stuff like that, that don’t really resonate with the content creators.
Encharge Review Final Words: Is It Worth It?
So that’s my Encharge review. Setting up Encharge for your company is an eye-opening experience. Because your clients only receive emails that they want to read, you now have a considerably greater engagement and opening rate.
I really like the way that they’re doing business and the attention to details and the money that they’re spending in content marketing really speaks a lot about the future of this tool.
However, one thing that Encharge needs to consider is integration with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce and Shopify.
It really means a lot because in order for it to be a true competitor to GetResponse e-commerce features are crucial because e-commerce features are unmatched in GetResponse.
You can get away with that lack of integrations by making use of Zapier or Integromat, but having native integrations is something that is desirable.
If you’re using some basic email autoresponders and want to take your email marketing to the next level, then you should give Encharge a try simply because personalization and marketing automation is the future.
And if you are already using ActiveCampaign, you may need to seriously try out switching to Encharge from ActiveCampaign, thereby saving your subscription cost.
If you are into the SaaS business, then this tool is a no-brainer, you can save a lot of money when it comes to your marketing automation.
