Rytr Review [2021] How It Compares With Other AI Copywriting Tools?

rytr review
In this Rytr review, I'm going to share with you the pros, the cons, how it compares with other tools, and my overall experience after using this tool.

There are a lot of AI GPT-3 content creation tools in the market, but not all of them have intuitive UI and UX to simplify a friction-free writing experience.

Many of these tools even don’t have their proprietary AI built on top of the GPT-3 engine for more refined outputs.

Rytr is one such tool that comes with really good UI and UX and also have their own proprietary AI built on top.

šŸ’” Note

In this Rytr review, Iā€™m going to walk you through this platform, and at the end of this tutorial, you’ll know exactly how to use this tool to create high-quality content. So if you want to work along with me, you can get Rytr at a one-off fee of $39 lifetime deal for a limited time.

Rytr Dashboard & User Experience

So here we’re in the Rytr dashboard.

And what I do like about this is they have a real file format if you’re an old-school computer user you’ll be instantly at home.

I can go to the home folder and I’ve got other nested folders inside.

The only thing I’d like to see is the ability to move it into another folder because once I’ve created the document I can’t seem to move this no matter how I try into another folder.

When you’re getting started with Rytr, first you can select any of the languages. These are the languages that are now supported, and you have the tone that you can add.

It’s really good that they have a lot of tones that you can select from, for controlling the output content generated by AI.

The Rytr copywriting tools are called use cases and there are many of them.

rytr use cases

We’re talking about:

Blog idea and outline
Email
AIDA framework
PAS framework
Facebook, Google ads
Landing page & website copies
Job description
Magic command
Question & answer
Reply to reviews & messages

And so much more.

And you can select the number of variants that it needs to generate.

Rytr Long Form Editor

Rytr also has a long-form editor and they do a much better job compared to other tools like ClosersCopy which is super clunky. So, you can create a document; I have one document that’s already created.

Here is an example of the article that I’ve generated using Rytr.

5 Ways to Make a Sales Page That Converts

1. Write an engaging headline that will attract your target audience

Creating an engaging headline is not easy. It requires a lot of creativity and time to come up with a headline that will attract your audience. Creating a catchy headline that grabs the reader’s attention can be time-consuming and difficult. Copywriters have to sift through their creativity to come up with different ideas that will sell their product or attract a new customer. The Al writing assistant can help by generating creative headlines and titles at the touch of a button.
Luckily, this is where artificial intelligence comes in. Artificial intelligence can help you generate headlines for any given topic in no time. They are very good at it, too – according to research by the University of California at Berkeley, Al writers have a better success rate when it comes to generating engaging and creative headlines than humans do.

2. Include an irresistible offer with a clear call-to-action

It is important to make sure that the offer is relevant and irresistible. It should also be easy to understand and complete. Have you ever been reading an article on the internet, only to find out that it was not what you were expecting? Or have you found yourself watching a video online, only for it to freeze and end abruptly? The content may have been decent, but when it comes down to it, these are distractions. What was supposed to be a quick read becomes an ordeal instead. This will eventually cause the reader or viewer’s attention span to dwindle and result in a bounce rate increase.”

That’s really good in my opinion.

It gets better from there because this is like a full user interface for a Word processor.

We’ve got h1 h2 and h3 headings. I can have quotes, I can align text, I can remove all of the formattings just like you do inside of a regular text editor but this one is powered by AI.

And when I create my article I have many cool options like:

Expand option
Shorten option
Rephrase option
Append option
editing options

In this case, I’m appending something. I want to let AI append something; I can hit the keyboard shortcut.

So, I can even select this and expand if I want more content upon this. If there is a lot of rambling here, so I can shorten this.

Once they roll out their Chrome extension, things will change a lot. You can do all these things anywhere on the web.

So, rephrase and all these things are available and even you can check any copy for plagiarism. They have an inbuilt plagiarism checking tool, so no matches were found.

So, this is a pure result of AI.

So, AI is really good at connecting the dots and just explaining how they relate to each other.

It has done a really good job of it.

And I can make use of any of these templates in the middle when I’m writing any article, similar to the likes of Conversion AI.

When I look at the user interface for the software it’s definitely tailored more towards someone who’s already a writer and they’re trying to generate some long-form content.

rytr editor

It’s not necessarily going to be as good for someone who just wants to generate a hundred or so different product descriptions for an e-commerce store or as to come up with 20 or 30 tweets for the day because they’re a social media manager.

The cool thing is that you can add a team member for $19/month.

So that is good to know if you’re on a content writing team you could work collaboratively using this tool but it doesn’t seem like it’s suited for short-form content like we’ve seen some of the other AI writing tools that I’ve reviewed.

This is going the other direction it’s really geared more towards a word processor for actual writers that just want a GPT-3 help along the way.

Rytr AIDA Formula

Next up let’s look at the AIDA formula. I’ve already generated some outputs here

rytr aida examples

I did run into an error here in that I’m not getting a call to action.

If you’re familiar with the AIDA formula or framework it should have 4 steps:

  1. Attention
  2. Interest
  3. Desire
  4. Action

The last one the call to action is where you tell someone how to go and do the thing you want them to do whether is to buy your product, sign up for your list, whatever it is.

That was just flat-out left out of the application.

And if I just look at the attention section “get the best tutorials for top business software” it’s okay but it doesn’t really get my attention.

And the other one that it generated for me:

“You’ve been dreaming of starting your own online business but don’t know where to start. You’re tired of wasting time on trial and error. We’ll show you how to start a business with step-by-step tutorials for top business software tools”

In my opinion, it’s way too long for an attention-getting headline so it seems to me that the people engineering this software have either not really dialed in this template yet.

Or maybe they just don’t really understand copywriting that well and they’re just tapping into the GPT-3 Open AI API and they’re not really pulling the best out.

I think that where you’ll see the real distinction between powerful tools written by copywriters who know what is going on and then these cheaper less expensive tools.

If you’re already a great writer and this stuff doesn’t bother you, this is a way to save some money but if you’re looking for the most help to get the best output you will be better off with tools like Jarvis.

So what can we do here to actually get a call to action?

Well, good news you can actually just ask it to make you one so here’s what I did.

I said “Write me a call to action that sells an online membership”

If you’re familiar with Jarvis and BossMode you’ll know that you can tell Jarvis this is another application to do things for you and then it will do it.

Well, you can kind of do that here inside of Rytr.

I can choose the command selecting the text and then it will actually generate output for you.

Here’s what I got, it said:

Join the #1 fitness community in the world.

Thank you for your interest in our fitness community. We have a 100% money-back guarantee if you’re not completely satisfied with your membership, just let us know and we’ll refund your money.

Join our community of over 10 million members and get access to all of the latest workouts, programs, and products”

so the problem is it didn’t go back to the initial inputs.

It kind of just forgot everything else that was going on and I said just write me a call to action that sells a membership online membership program and instead, it sold me a fitness community.

Rytr Alternatives – How It Compares To Other AI Tools?

If you want to see other Rytr alternatives, here are the tools that I’ve reviewed:

  • Jarvis
  • Copy AI
  • CopySmith
  • Nichesss
  • ContentBot AI
  • Shortlyai
  • Peppertype AI

So far, the best AI copywriting tool for me is Jarvis for many reasons. The other cool alternative could be Peppertype AI which is not a high-end tool but the quality of the copy is not bad.

Rytr also has its own comparisons with other tools but I’m not sure how they are reliable.

So if you are interested in their official comparison, you can head over to comparisons and compare for yourself.

Rytr Lifetime Deal

As for me writing this article, they are running an AppSumo deal, that is you get access to Rytr at a one-off fee of $39 lifetime deal.

Rytr Lifetime Deal

You get access to all the features and you can generate up to 50,000 characters per month which is quite a lot.

And if they offer you unlimited credits, it would be really hard for them to sustain in business because they are also coming up with their own Chrome extension, meaning you can make use of Rytr any place on the web.

Considering that, they will eventually run out of money to just make sure that the deal is truly a lifetime for you.

Rytr Pricing

The price of Rytr is $29/month and you can generate unlimited characters, in addition, you get access to 20 plus use cases and tones.

Rytr Review Final Words

So, this is my Rytr review. This tool it’s going to be more of the budget-conscious long-form blogger.

As I already mentioned I don’t think it’s suited ideally if you’re doing a lot of short-form content like product descriptions, social media, and that sort of thing.

But if you’re trying to write a lot of blog posts and you just don’t have a budget for the top-end tools and let’s speak frankly here that is Jarvis.

I really think that this tool has some future considering the background of the founder and the intuitive nature of their UI and UX and the roadmap.

And also, they are placing emphasis on Chrome extension as well, that very few GPT-3 tools as of now offer you; because of the fact that the fear that the people will consume their credits a lot.

If you’re interested in this deal, feel free to make use of my affiliate link, which you can use down below.

It will not cost you any extra money, but it will surely encourage me to test all of these AI copywriting tools serving you guys on this blog.
